Lots of fun! July 12, 2010 Jennifer M. Houghton (Minneapolis, MN) This toy is great, especially if your little one is beginning to bang on things, crawl or working on sitting. I have twins and they both love this toy. We can sit them up in front of it to bang on the top or on the side it has chimes that make sound as it rounds so they chase after it. Each of them seems to like a different function and they have knocked it around a lot and it is still working well. I highly recommend!
Flash Beat Drum May 29, 2010 Missy (Gillette, WY) I highly recommend this toy. My 9 month old grandson just loves it, and you know how babies love to pound on things, so this is just the thing.
Was a Two Star Review, Now It's Four Stars May 26, 2010 Holly Tse UPDATE: Originally, I gave this toy only two stars as my son had a rather lukewarm reception to it. However, after a couple of days, he started to push it around and enjoyed the music as it rolled. He also started to bang the drum quite boisterously, which is what is needed in order for the drum to light up and make a sound. Now, he really likes it and this is one of his "go-to" toys in his room. Original review below: After reading the glowing reviews, I was eagerly anticipating the arrival of this toy since my baby LOVES to drum things. He bangs like a bongo player on everything. Unfortunately, everything, but this toy. There is a very tiny delay from when you hit the drum to when it lights up and makes a sound. While the delay is infinitely tiny, it is enough that it doesn't feel like the sound is 100% related to the banging. Factor in that the toy makes noise when it falls over and rolls and plays music constantly, it doesn't give enough feedback to connect the banging with the sound. You also have to hit the top very hard in order to hear a sound, so sometimes my son would bang the surface and nothing would happen. He does like to scratch the top with his fingernails and finds that sound much more satisfying.
He loves it May 19, 2010 CraftyOne (Saint Louis, Mo) This toy is very simple yet very entertaining. My 1 year easily figured out that the buttons on the side of the drum put it in different modes; the modes make the toy more interesting. Unlike other electronic toys we own, this one does not continuously make noise when your child stops playing with it... very nice!
terrific baby toy! May 6, 2010 Amy Ward I bought this toy for my granddaughter for her first birthday, at the suggestion of my son and daughter-in-law. They told me she had played with a similar toy at daycare, which she loved. She squealed in delight when she saw the drum light up and make music. This was one of her favorite toys to play with, and she figured out right away how to make the drum play music and lights. This was only 2 months ago, so I can't say much yet about its durability.
