Love these as first skates May 17, 2010 Jenna Glatzer (NY, United States) Got these for my 3-year-old daughter and I feel really good about them. Her shoes (size 9 1/2) feel very secure in the skates-- I don't feel like they'd come loose or fall out. I love the three settings so she can get used to the feel of skating slowly, and she loves that they're pink. She's been skating around the kitchen floor with my help. This is a good value for the money and a lot of fun.
Getting back to childhood basics! February 14, 2010 Yorlanda E. Fisher (Texas City, TX USA) My 2 year old grand daughter is very active which I love. I believe that children are spending too much time in front of the television and that is the reason we have an obesity problem with our nation's youth. Getting back to basics and allowing our children to be active is the answer. Allowing them to enjoy the things "grandma did back then" is the ticket. Professionals say skating improves gross motor skills; I say the increase fun! These skates allow me to encourage the next generation to get an early start on leading a healthy, active lifestyle!
Great first skates April 28, 2009 All4Amazon (San Diego, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought these skates along with the coordinating helmet and kneepads for my great-niece for her 2nd birthday. She loves them! Her Mom has not let her go outside with them yet, but she happily scoots around the house "skating" from room to room.
A definite must have! April 27, 2009 J. Bellucci (Virginia) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought these for my 2.5 year old daughter. They remind me of the old training skates I had back in the early 80's. They say they are for shoe size 6 to 12. My daughter wears a size 9 shoe and its on almost the smallest setting so I'm not sure how the smaller shoes would fit. It is pretty easy to get the rollerblades on her shoe size as long as you open them all the way up. But for larger shoes I can imagine it being a little difficult. Once on you can lock them very easily. My daughter loves being able to velcro them herself. And the part that goes against her leg is nicely padded so she seems quite comfy (I'm sure she'd tell me if she wasn't!). There are 3 settings for the skates 1.2.&3. The 1st setting they lock the middle wheel making it a little difficult to move so my daughter appears to just be walking slowly in them. When I put it on 2 the wheel moves making it easier to move around and she goes a lot faster needing more assistance of course! For fun I put it on 3 to test it out and she definitely needed some assistance because the wheels go forward AND back! For me - I was looking for something that could be fun & durable so I can pass them along to our youngest daughter. They definitely have been fun for my daughter...she asks to skate everyday! And they are quite durable and have been tossed around on the ground quite a few times. All parts still together and they look great! I'd highly recommend these skates for kids 2+ up. Just don't forget your helmet & pads AND make sure the kids have some adult supervision when using!!! They'll be tired after!!!
different colored skates June 9, 2008 Dianna L. Harding (Dayton, OH) 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
My 5 year old daughter wanted skates just like her big sister's for her birthday. It was a last minute request so I put a rush order through Amazon. The party was great and the only thing she wanted to do was put on her new skates. As soon as I cut the skate off the box she had it on her feet. I opened the box to get the other skate out and we found a red and dark blue skate inside. Talk about feeling horrible. I had to tell my little one to take it off because we had to send it back. After searching a gazillion Wal Mart's, we found barbie skates(with a matching one inside the box). You can say we are very dissapointed in Amazon.
