The Musical Inchworm is great for tummy time. View larger. | Stimulates Baby's Vision and Auditory Skills When babies are first born, they see in black and white. This is why the Musical Inchworm strikes a balance between bright, high contrast patterns that help stimulate baby's vision, and bold solid colors that give baby's eyes a place to rest. Sounds like rattle, squeak, crinkle, and jingle also help stimulate and develop baby's auditory skills. Finally, the Musical Inchworm's large, friendly eyes invite baby to focus and stare at a single object, which can help calm baby while supporting healthy eye development. Child-Safe Design With its soft velour body and interesting textures to touch and chew, the Musical Inchworm is an ideal play and rest-time companion, whether baby is at home in his crib or traveling in the car. Safe and easy for little hands to hold and investigate, this toy also features an underside that measures your baby up to 24 inches. It even plays the song "If You're Happy and You Know It Clap Your Hands" when hugged. Perhaps the most rewarding feature of the Musical Inchworm's design, however, is the bonding opportunities it offers. In fact, this toy is perfect for an interactive game of peek-a-boo--simply hide the inchworm's head underneath a blanket and then show the baby the inchworm as you say "peek-a-boo!" The Inchworm measures .50 x 24.0 x 2.75 inches (WxHxD), weighs 0.40 pounds and comes with a 90 day limited warranty. he loves it July 29, 2010 lcole We purchased this for our 5 month old boy and he loves it. I do wish the music was a little louder.
Wonderful toy for my 4 month old May 18, 2010 proud mama (Lake Bluff, IL USA) I was skeptical when I ordered this toy, but my little one immediately started cooing at the Inchworm's eyes. And she is not easily impressed by most toys! It is bigger than I expected and is great for tummy time too.
Not satisfied May 11, 2010 Suresh Damodaran (santa clara) I bought this toy for my baby. He was not only disinterested in this toy but he totally ignored it. The toy for it to make music you have to press it very hard. And the button is hidden at a difficult place. You would require great strength to make it create music. It is just a piece of clothe wringed like a caterpillar with some colors. waste of money.
Excellent for infants May 2, 2010 J. Garrett (Seattle, WA USA) Whether she's grabbing, chewing, hitting, or snuggling--this toy provides excellent stimulation for many of my 6-month-old's senses. Though it says to wash only the outside, the toy demonstrated durability through the washing maching as well. The large size makes this a toy better suited for staying at home rather than toting around. Also due to the size, I would recommend using this toy while closely supervised, especially for young infants who don't yet have strong neck control.
useful April 21, 2010 K. M. Evaul (Raleigh, NC USA) I actually only got this toy because it is perfect for my preemie son's physical therapy. It can be placed under the arms to help him learn to hold his head up. He loves touching it and such but the musical part is disappointing.
