Product Description Designed for kids ages 3-5, the mini is the quality choice in children's scooters. In 2009, the mini was recognized by the prestigious Oppenheim Toy Portfolio, which awarded it the Gold and the Platinum Best Toy Award Seals. The mini also was named 'Best Pre-School Scooter' by Toy Report. What makes the mini fun and unique is its 'lean-and-steer' design which allows children to use their body weight to control the steering, giving kids the feeling of 'surfing' the sidewalk, as they curve from right to left, almost like a skateboard. The lean-and-steer adds an element of fun and control that young children love. The mini's 3 wheels provide greater stability. The wheels are Italian-made of highest quality PU, which creates a wonderfully smooth glide. The wheels also make for a quiet ride, a joy for parents and children alike and since they don't leave black marks on the floor, the mini can be ridden inside. The kickboard is low-to-the-ground and large enough for both feet, making it easy for young children to hop on and off and to switch from pushing, to just enjoying the ride. The 'spoon' brake at the back adds additional control, and kids like it because its just like the 'big kid' scooters. For parents, the mini scooter's light weight (only 3.3lbs), means it's easy to pick up and carry when need be. The mini scooter helps young children to develop their balance, co-ordination and motor skills. The mini scooter is designed with a weight recommendation of 60lbs. Please note that the scooter displays a weight limit of 20kg (44 lbs). The reason for the discrepancy is that European standards dictate that weights are approved in increments of 10 kg (22lbs), so the next available weight category of 30 kg, or 66 lbs, would have put the displayed recommended weight limit OVER its actual recommendation of 60 lbs. The mini is a great mode of mobility for young kids! Available in blue, pink, orange and aqua.

great scooter! July 17, 2010 Svetlana Gorokhova (Baltimore, MD USA) My son is 3 and he loves this toy a lot! In 3 days of practice, he can ride it perfectly. It was easy to assamble. The only thing I do not like is that the handle does not ajast for higher hight. It means I will need to buy another one after this one will become too low, but other than that it is so great toy, and I am really happy with my purchase.
Absolutely Awesome! July 8, 2010 Melissa Miller (Coronado, CA) If you are looking for a scooter for a younger child (2-6) this is the one to get. I have 3 children, and purchased razors for the older two. They were always smacking their ankles or feet or whatever with those heavy scooters, so I tried this one for my youngest. This scooter is lightweight but very substantially made. My son who is now 5 has ridden his for 3 years. It allowed him to ride on his own. It is very easy for a young child to manuever. It is very smooth. He can keep up with the rest of us on our bikes. All the older kids want to get on his scooter and try it, but can't because it's not for their weight. I'm considering the Maxi for my 9 year old son to replace his razor. I only wish they made them for adults!
The best scooter available for this age group July 7, 2010 Asif Khan (Aliso Viejo, CA United States) The other kids go crying to their mama when they see my cool kid zipping around on his orange scooter. It is great quality and a great design. It is perfect for the 3-5 age group. The design is perfect because the two wheels are in front which gives you freedom to kick while providing great balance. The rear wheel has a stomp brake which works very well...maybe too well...it stops on a dime so make sure your kid is wearing a helmet. I was concerned that the dual front wheel design will make steering difficult but all you have to do is lean the handle in the direction you want to go and the wheels turn. My kid rides around our patio table and makes sharp turns with this thing. Brilliant. We looked at quite a few other models at the local stores but they all felt like toys. This is a real quality item with rollerblade wheels. Excellent value!
Replaced The Stroller July 3, 2010 Stephen Mendoza (New York, NY) My son loved this scooter so much that he preferred it over the stroller. He was one of the first to have one in the area and every time we went to Central Park (every weekend), all the parents would ask about it. Now every toddler in NYC has one. Another eye catcher and a great product is the Gator Towbar for biking...look it up, love it!!! Back to the scooter... My soon to be 2yr old daughter quickly learned to ride and she's loving it. It's safe and is pretty easy to carry around in NYC. I gave it 4 stars cause I wished that the handle bar would fold like the other scooters in the market. It can be detached easily but being able to fold it would be best. And for the price, I would prefer it to be more durable. My 10yr old nephew (75lbs) tried to ride it and he ended up breaking something with the steering mechanism. The scooter is still ride able but it no longer straightens by itself. It's a great product and I'm looking to purchasing a green one for my 2yr old once it's in stock again.
Great scooter! June 8, 2010 Happy Daddy (NYC) Bought this for my 2 1/2 year old, he loves it. Took to it right away. Will take him some time to practice and be able to do it on his own with any speed, but he can already scoot around slowly after only 2 weeks, and he loves holding on while I push him around faster. It's definitely helping him learn balance and agility. The "two wheels up front" design is great for young kids just learning to scoot.
