Product Description More than a mini piano, this toy also plays bells, organ, banjo and a silly meowaphone. Features 20 familiar songs plus 7 witty kitty tunes. Retractable mic amplifies children's voices because anything worth saying is worth saying louder. Child controls beat and tempo. Record and play back songs over and over; auto-off feature-kitty purrrrrrs itself off to conserve batteries. Recommended for ages 2 years and up.

Great Toddler Fun July 3, 2010 Linda Mortenson (Grants Pass, OR USA) My 16 month old toddler loves this keyboard. So far, she is mostly interested in the songs that it will play, but I am confident that she will develop more interest in other aspects as shes grows. While the songs are initially even more annoying than a lot of toddler toys, the beats to them really encourage her to dance, and we've learned to adapt to the sound of them. The keyboard also seems to be very durable so far, easily withstanding being dragged around by the microphone, stepped on and sat on. I was glad to have read the review previously posted regarding it only playing two notes at a time. This is not terribly important at this time as I am not trying to teach about chords yet, but it would certainly be a problem if I were more of a piano player. The only annoyance that I had not seen in reviews before I made this purchase is that after it purrs itself to sleep, when a key or button is pushed, it reverts to the default volume which is much louder than I would prefer. I thought that it was defaulting to full volume, but when I just checked, it looks like it could go even louder!
Lots of fun June 9, 2010 sconnie mom (madison, wi) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 2-year-old daughter LOVES her "cat piano" and plays it every day. It has a lot of features she hasn't even used yet, so I think she will continue to play with it as she gets older. The only downsides are that the pre-recorded cat songs are extremely annoying, and it only lets you play two notes at a time when you use the keyboard. But for a first keyboard, I think it's very good. I can't figure out if there is any real difference between this and the "Parents" Kitty Keyboard, other than color and price. This one is significantly cheaper - and in colors more like an actual cat. I recommend this one.
Pros and cons but overall a good buy for the money February 24, 2010 mamasun (Los Angeles) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Pros: Tons of features, including various instruments, beats, a recording feature, volume and tempo controls, an attached microphone, and it plays a pretty large selection of songs. I'm particularly impressed that for a kid's toy, it includes black keys too, not just white keys. The keys are also labeled ABCDEFG, which is educational. The "meow" instrument is really cute and makes any song sound like it's being sung by a cat. A great value for the money. It's small enough to bring along on car trips. Cons: You can't play more than two notes simultaneously (e.g. you can't play a 3-note chord - the toy will only play 2 of the notes you press). You can only record single note melodies (it won't let you record 2 or more notes played simultaneously). Some of the songs it comes with, in particular the songs with "cat" lyrics, are pretty annoying. The different instruments are not consistent note-wise. For example, if you play C on the "piano" then switch to C on the "meow" instrument, it's not the same note. It's about a half to whole note off.
