We bought this for our (then) 2.5 year old to take on a trip last Spring. I thought it would be perfect for the car because of its small size. It was a bit of a pain though because the pieces are small and he kept dropping them and getting frustrated. It is cute that this product has its own little carrying box. It's pretty durable too - my son stood on it more than once! I was afraid the plastic window on top would break, but it never did. My son did play with it quite a bit until he lost some of the pieces.

Great value for a travel size classic puzzle December 19, 2009

This puzzle is a big hit with my 2 year old. She lover the Melissa & Doug Dress-up Bear Puzzle, this is a travel size version for the same type of play. We play together to describe items, colors, count. I am thrilled with the unbeatable price at Amazon and I stocked up for all my friends with kids.

My 34 month old daughter was not too interested in these as puzzles. I bought it specifically as a toy for a long plane trip. It kept her interest for about two minutes. She did enjoy taking out all the vehicles and lining them up...after we reached our destination.
That said, it's a really nice toy for under $10 and I think younger kids might enjoy the "puzzle" aspect.
Great set of puzzles August 25, 2009

My daughter received the animal mini pack for her birthday and I thought adding this set would help her learn her vehicles. I will say that it has. When I opened this and took out the puzzles, she was so excited to play with them. She now knows most of them by heart already, she isn't even 2 1/2 yet. I love the Melissa & Doug products!!!!
