Product Description Go on amazing learning adventures with Dora and Diego in this accessory to ready set school. The ready for school learning center is a kid-safe USB computer peripheral that includes a kid-friendly keyboard, writing tablet, stylus and CD ROM software that helps preschoolers in getting ready for school. The ready for school center is an expandable system with each additional piece of software consisting of five learning centers and one field trip activity. The five centers are reading, writing, math, art, music, and science. Each center is represented by a physical button on the base hardware that is used to access those activities. Children can also print out reward certificates and a supplemental worksheet-type activity from each center, while a parental control lock the child out of the desktop, prohibits internet access, and limits the number of prints the child can create.

Dora for Cool School July 20, 2010 LiveLaugh&Golf First let me say the only negatives I found on this product were for those who didn't understand that it requires the Computer Cool School system from fisher price base system. We had other computer games and then purchased Cool School. As our 3yo loves Dora we purchased this game from Amazon. She now plays it every day. It started with her simply playing the art sections but has rapidly progressed to the reading, numbers, and other area's. I can't think of a better educational toy. I highly recommend this to anyone with a 3-5 year old. The only downside is that there aren't many games available 7 or 8 and then finding those (at a reasonable price - typically more than the $15 suggested retail) is a little difficult but not impossible.

Pleased with the product, but have seen it at several other retailers for much less.

A friend bought this for my great granddaughter. There is nothing on the packaging saying what the hardware requirements are. Until I tried installing it on her computer, I had no idea that it required an entire peripheral! My first thought was that I could simply download additional software. Then I find out that I have to pay about [...] for the tablet/keyboard, plus about[...] for each additional piece of software. Would Fisher-Price like to explain to a four-year-old why her software does not work?
