We bought this when our doctor told us our son needs to start falling asleeo on his own, not while nursing. First night...worked like a charm! Other soothers only go for 15-20 mins. This has a 45 min setting for that stubborn baby :) He didn't fuss at all, just laid there until he fell asleep. Bought the twilight turtle so he has sight & sound. LIFE SAVERS!!

It has different sounds to choose. We just choose the white noise. It plays for 45 min which is so much better than the 5 min "prince lionheart bear" we bought. Works great on the 4 month old!

My daughter already loved giraffes before I bought her this, and now she has a best friend who goes with her everywhere. I switch the giraffe to sleep and adjust the volume to medium at bedtime. This is now the routine. She would go nuts without him. I wish I had one of these when I was little. So far no problems to list. A+++++

I love the Gentle Giraffe. The Victoria Falls setting helped my baby get to sleep every night. I've bought it for many new parents. My only complaint was the most recent purchase was damaged in shipping. In fact, it looks like it had been opened, used, returned, and then sent to me. I'm not real happy about that and I won't be buying this gift through Amazon again. The product itself is great but I don't like being in the position where I wonder if I received a used gift.

This is adorable and the sounds are very comforting for my colicky baby. I have one complaint though, the longest timer is 45 minutes and there is no constant on setting. As soon as it shuts off, my baby wakes up. Also just a warning if you wash it, don't put it in the dryer or the hair will get ruined.
