I have given this gift to many good friends and family. It is always the hit of the baby shower. My twin grandchildren received it for a gift, and used it for several of their growing up years. It is fun, useful and durable as well as unique.

My two year old daughter loves this toy, which she carries around like a purse. She's already learning her letters with the animals, and has fun taking them out and putting them back in (or not putting them back in, to tell the truth - they often do get scattered). I'm planning to order a couple as gifts - as a parent, I also appreciate having a toy that's (1) NOT plastic and (2) not too big - it can easily be tucked away in a closet or bookshelf. Because it's soft, I also don't worry about leaving it with her in the crib. The only downside is that, like any other toy with smallish parts, we've lost a couple of the letter animals; however, I just saw another reviewer say that the manufacturer will replace those, so we may finally get our C and L back!

This is by far the favorite toy of my eight month old twins! When I received this gift at a baby shower I thought it would be something they could play with in a couple years. That is until I got it out to let my boys older (18 month old) friends play with it, and my boys went crazy. The animals are the perfect size for holding in their small hands. They love taking all of the animals out of their pockets and studying them. The animals do end up in their mouths a lot, but it is very easy to just throw the whole thing zipped up in the washer and dryer. I can imagine that this will be a favorite for a long time to come as they learn their animals and alphabet. I highly recommend this toy to anyone with little ones!

I purchased this toy thinking it might be a fun and educational toy. I ended up sending
it back. It's hard to tell what animal they are. You can't tell what's what due to bad product design. My son did like pulling them out of the pockets. The toy would have been great if you could teach your child about the animals. I'm afraid it would only have confused my child when the animals don't look anything like what they are supposed to. I wish the product was better. It has a lot of potential.

I bought this for my son, and it keeps him entertained for 30-60 minutes. Nothing else keeps him occupied for more than 5 minutes. He is just 17 months so he doesn't have the concept yet of the letters, but he loves these little animals. He pulls each out of the pocket and looks at them and plays with each one. There are 26 pieces though, so not a good travel toy but the zipper goes all the way around and keeps the pieces safe. My daughter is 7 and I keep having to reminder her to give her brother back HIS toy. The book is well constructed.
