Fantastic Educational Toy May 19, 2010 Maritza Ciottariello (Morris County,NJ) I have 2 1/2 twins & a 20mth old baby. I bought this style & a few others, cars, farm animals. They love it. My son's special ed teacher highly recommended this for motor skills & dexterity. The baby is a wiz at it!! Highly recommend!! The pieces are so well made & durable.
Great!!! March 7, 2010 L. Benham I got this for my daughter for her second birthday. The colors are so bright and fun and the toy is all wooden so I know it's sturdy. She's had other lacing things before but what really helps her is the wooden rod at one end to help get it through the holes and then the wooden stopper at the other end so the little beads don't fall off. She loves this and she gets so excited when she gets them all on. She feels like it's a huge accomplishment. This is a great toy and I would recommend it to anyone!
Cute October 24, 2009 I see it like it is (USA) Cute toy and very interactive. However, I would have liked more realistic-looking clothing items for educational value. Perhaps, photos would be nice, and there are no shoes, hats, or gloves.
Good Large Lacing Toy July 24, 2009 AnnInKC (Kansas City) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My daughter received this for her 2nd birthday. I chose this as an introductory lacing activity for her, as the cards with wool are too advanced for her skills. She enjoys playing with the chunky wooden washing - likes to hold it against her body as if trying it on! I thought she would need quite a bit of help to actually lace, but after only a couple of practice sessions, I think she's got the hang of it. The wooden needle is at least 2 inches long and thick, which is pretty easy to poke through the wide holes in the wooden pieces. It's a little harder for her to remove the items off the rope/line. I don't think she's as excited about this toy as I was (!), but it's good for fine motor skills and they can use the clothing articles for other imaginative play, too. Mind the cord as a strangulation hazard for younger siblings - it's a lot longer than I anticipated.
